Evilo NV

 

Evilo was founded in 1927 by Emiel Villays, living in Otegem, hence the name E(miel) VIL(lays) O(tegem). Despite the fact that the whole production plant was destroyed during the second world war, Evilo succeeded to produce the first winder for the textile industry 5 years after the second world war.

 

In the 50's - 60's Evilo NV built up a strong reputation delivering high quality built machinery.

 

In 1965 Mr. Marcel Desloovere ran the company.

 

During the 80's and 90's, Evilo was the first in the market to build a winder with automatic doffing, a contractwinder, a full automatic gluing machine and full automatic carpet confection lines.

 

In 2003, the company merged together into the Matthys Group and hasn't stopped growing since then.
